THE IPSWICH WANGLE.

NEWS.

The author sometimes refers to himself as I in this text.

August 2002. The part of the executive meeting at I.B.C. this month dealing with the sale of a parcel, or the final part of the Ipswich Airport land was held behind closed doors, the public and press were excluded. Why was this private ? this is public land being sold by a local government that is supposed to be for the people.

Friday 18th Dec 2002.

This site was set live, launched, 18th December 2002. Letters with links to this site were sent to most departments of I.B.C. Suffolk County council: and all other councils in East Anglia.

Thanks to the response from members of Suffolk County Council that sent return e-mails stating this site is fantastic.

The Friends Of Broom Hill pool Committee is now up and running.

There was a meeting outside the I.B.C. entrance at 9:30AM between supporters for the retention of the Broom Hill pool including local sportsman channel swimmer Mike Read and M.P. Sir Michael Lord, to hand in a petition of 7000 signatures from people that want the Broom Hill Pool kept open. The petition with 7000 signatures was handed to councillor John Mowles the present council leader. There was a pertinent article in the Evening Star Newspaper.

It was rumoured this paper work was taken to a small room at I.B.C. torn in to small squares, hung on the wall: where the councillors smile as they slowly recycle this paper.

Wednesday 25th Dec 2002. Christmas Day.

There was a Christmas Morning swim with Mike Read and supporters. There was an pertinent article in the Evening Star Newspaper.

January 2003.

28th January 2003. There was a male body found in Holliwells park behind my house at 8am, Thanks to friends that phoned me by 10 am to find out if it was me, It was thought by one friend that the steroid induced drug / thug element that frequents crown pools had caught up with me, and dumped me over the park.

Classic, the Woman Police constable that was overheard on this day by a neighbour near my house, the W.P.C. who stated to a colleague, " we do not want the media to get hold of this," The park gates were closed, there was police vehicles blocking all entrances, there were queues of anxious people exasperated because they could not quickly pump out their K9's: the story was on the Evening Star web site by 10AM. How and why was this event going to be kept quiet ? interesting !!!

The Ipswich Borough Council financial assessment is due out in January, this propaganda sheet will not make interesting reading, this will just be a difficult maths exercise for I.B.C. of think of the highest number for a refurbishment figure for the Broom Hill Pool, and then get out, synchronise your calculators: and then quadruple this number !!!

February 2003.

It is rumoured that the executive committee meets on the 24th March 2003 to discuss the Broom Hill pool: it is rumoured that Ipswich people will be asked to vote in a referendum for or against the pool. If the votes are counted at I.B.C. H.Q. this will just be another fiddle, refer to the tricks section on this site to see such corporate skulduggery. It is rumoured that I.B.C. may propose the building of a purpose built diving pool at crown pools for a cost of two and a half million pounds, presumably this pool will have a suspended moving floor and be a multi purpose diving / swimming facility. Presumably the pool will, when built, will be double the cost of the official estimate, the same as crown pools was, we don't want to change a habit of a lifetime, do we ? This is a typical proposal by I.B.C. - I.B.C. want to close Broom Hill, this is their only objective. No more sunbathing at Broom Hill: by order !!!

It is rumoured that when I.B.C. close the Broom Hill pool that they will appeal against the grade two listing of the pool so it can be given away to some friends for re-development, following thus the course of the St. Mathews pool closure: history always repeats itself, back handers all round !!! Pats on the backs, all council officials smile and hug each other, another crooked recorded synchronised hugging display.

The grounds for the appeal will be that the roof of the male changing room was adapted by the fitting of a roof window and further adaptation of the inside of the changing room in 1993: this work was effected before the grade two listing was granted, and therefore this listing should have not taken place.

The rumours abound, interesting !!!

I.B.C desperately want the Broom Hill pool land for re-development: I.B.C. are getting desperate for building land to please their partners, almost every bit of land down to postage stamp size has been built on in this town, more houses, more control, more money, more power. The slogan: power to the people is now dead, It's all power to the local government.

25th February 2003. The Evening Star News Paper.

There was the expected front page Broom Hill pool article, the pool will not be opened, it now costs 250 thousand pounds to run the Broom Hill pool annually. The last published estimate was 200 thousand pounds: the pool costs seem to increase 50 thousand pounds every time you read I.B.C's. published data, now there's a surprise !!!

5th March 2003. The Evening Star News Paper, page 8.

News Article, Edited by Richard Brown. This whole page article was for the support for the retention of the Broom Hill pool, " Thanks Richard ". I did not expect the Evening Star to publish much for the retention of the Broom Hill pool, they know what they are up against: they are up against the most crooked bunch of *ankers in the country, headed up by James Hehir, one of the most ruthless dictators this country has ever seen, Hehir should be deported to Iraq, in a government position: to be with his own kind, just in time to be bombed. I.B.C. are only interested in pathetic projects that are displayed in the Ipswich Angle by representative idiots of the gold chain brigade.

I cannot prove it, but I am sure that after I called in Evening Star Newspaper in 1992 ( a published article ), and the Health And Safety Executive in 1993 to correct the dangerous Broom Hill pool that embarrassed I.B.C. and highlighted the bunch of cretins, management and pool attendants that run I.B.C. swimming pools, I am sure there was a phone call from old Capt Hehir to Crown Pools management, the message was: " I don't care how you shut that bloody swimming pool, just shut it." Of course Hehir was referring to closing Broom Hill. What Hehir should have done was to sack the defective management at Crown Pools making the Broom Hill pool safe for Ipswich people to use.

The Evening Star put up a good fight to stop the closure of Ipswich Airport, this was futile, it is very difficult to fight a crooked Mafia.

I've drifted away, returning to the newspaper article 05 03 03, It was very interesting to see the published loss for Crown Pools being a million pounds per year. About one hundred thousand patrons annually use the swimming facilities there: that's an annual loss of ten pounds per head, this is on par with the Broom Hill pool, nice one.

It is interesting that the Broom Hill pool takes three months to prepare for the summer season, and is in use for three months in the summer. This is six months use for the inflated cost of the falsely recorded one hundred and twenty six thousand pounds loss. This is a bargain, even with these fiddled figures: compared to Crown Pools.

Goodbye David Ball, yes, it looks as though David Ball is leaving us, his house in Cliff Lane is up for sale, Goodbye David, you will not me missed, remember David Ball he made it his personal crusade to close Ipswich Airport to please his God and master at the time, James Hehir. If anybody knows where Ball is moving to, please let me know: I want to see him in court over a legal matter if I can fund it.

Some March 1993 - Evening Stars articles were interesting

1. Figures published that Suffolk has 9% of East Anglian tourist traffic whilst Norfolk has 40% That's not a surprise, Ipswich, after the collusive building developers over the years have raped and pillaged historical sites: and replaced historical buildings with crass developments, tourists cannot now fly in: I am surprised tourists come here at all, there is very little of interest to see.

2. The picture and the article highlighting the charitable activities of Crown Pools staff, many of the same old faces: very touching, as Crown Pools staff are aware of this internet site. Well, charity begins at home, the most charitable project they could realise: is to manage Ipswich swimming pools in a much safer manner.

3. Mike Read, the cross channel swimmer, is running quite a campaign to save Broom Hill, I hope that he is successful. If Broom Hill opens, and if it is well advertised, the local populace will be elated: this could also persuade a few tourists to come to Ipswich.

4. The Broom Hill Pool will not open in 1993.

Another Dirty Trick: Goodbye Broom Hill, I.B.C. know how to kill a mental link, the Broom Hill ward name has been changed to " Westgate." After the building developers have redeveloped the Broom Hill site in to luxury flats overlooking a remaining few trees ? my guess of a name for new development is, " guinea-pig towers," The assumption is that the building will be in keeping with other local follies and that I.B.C. will pay no attention to the unhappy local feedback, this unfortunately is not in keeping with most guinea-pig projects.

May 2003

I wrote to M.P. Chris Mole, M.P. for Ipswich, The points that I raised in my letter were,

1. My internet sight highlighted the corporate skulduggery by Ipswich Borough Council by the attempted murder of one of his constituents in the Broom Hill Pool.

2. That as one of his constituents I had been harassed and bullied by I.B.C. What was he going to do about this ?

3. That he had not published an interest for the retention of the Broom Hill pool.

4. That Ipswich people were very supportive of the Broom Hill pool, and that it was within his interest that he published support for the pool in the Evening Star newspaper.

I received a letter from M.P. Chris mole advising me to refer to the I.B.C. web site to see the current situation regards the Broom Hill pool. " Nice One."

There was a publication in the Ipswich Angle, I.B.C's propaganda newspaper asking for a referendum for the retention of the Broom Hill pool. The published figures for the Broom Hill pool usage were fiddled rubbish as expected, many people in Ipswich do not receive the councils newspaper. The whole thing is a crooked fast one, the votes are to be counted at the council offices: " Another Nice One," more crooked published garbage, from a bunch of scum bags.

24th May 2003. This was the day at the start of the Whitsun school break, a week long holiday for the children, this is the day the Broom Hill pool normally opens, the pool remained closed, this is a sad day for Ipswich: and the Ipswich people.

I.B.C. always move the goal posts to their advantage to keep Broom Hill closed, the figure published last year, was three million pounds to refurbish Broom Hill for twenty five years, this is now moved to three million pounds for a refurbishment for ten years.

June 2003

The Evening Star Newspaper Continues it's campaign to save the Broom Hill Pool.

Since this site was launched in December 2002, the I.B.C. - P.R. machine has swung in to extreme action. The mayor seen in the Evening Star newspaper giving cash to charity. The Crown Pools staff picture receiving a safety award commendation by the Quest Award Scheme. Various charitable exercises, wonderful. Has this internet site forced I.B.C to get their act together and safely run their swimming pools ? I hope so. My initial research with Quest shows that the major part of the qualification exercise for awards is a pools management self assessment format.

Well it's touching that Crown Pools management at last have shown care in something, all the boxes on the forms were ticked in the right places, no mistakes there, the text obviously read well, I am still investigating Quest and their funding, this government's propaganda spin machine percolates this country in to every nook and cranny, Ipswich is one of their flagship councils, " say no more. "

E/S 23/06/03 Publication. Crown pools changing room refurb: published at half a million pounds. I asked a builder for a labour only quote, twenty workers for a few days to quickly sort out the Crown Pools changing facilities, he thought ten thousand pounds was a quote. Other people thought fifty to a hundred thousand pounds to do the whole job. Note ! There is no truth in the rumour that the new changing facilities will be gold plated. This is absolutely untrue: the mayor has objected to this proposal: as he would not be noticed in the published opening ceremony with a back drop photo shot set against gold.

Published 23/06/03 I.B.C. are going to apply for National Heritage lotto cash, I wrote to National Heritage a couple of years ago, there was no cash available at the time for old lido type swimming pools, I doubt this situation has changed: and it's a sure bet that I.B.C. know this. More published rubbish !

26/06/03 I.B.C. State, " tax payers cannot fund the pool." Hopefully the Evening Star will run a referendum pertinent to this matter. I will research how much per tax payer is needed to fund three million pounds, of course for twenty five years Broom Hill use.

A conservative councillors suggestion, that a private developer buys Broom Hill Park and the pool for a nominal fee to re:develop some of the park, presumably flats along Valley Road, and to refurbish the pool. This could be quite a bargain for a developer.

The pool might be able to be refurbished prudently for half a million pounds for twenty five years, this may be the only way forward: sometimes you have to give to get. Hopefully the safety management for the refurbished Broom Hill pool will be under the control of the Friends Of Broom Hill Committee. With modern retinal security pass, and good cash accounting control, prudent maintenence, the Broom Hill Pool may break even over the twenty five year period.

Security Compromised 01 07 03.

My internet sites are updated on the first day of every month. On the first day of July a file appeared in the down load site zipped file for this site. This file was not added by the author of this site. My computers at my house were either accessed: or the server for this site was accessed by unknown persons.

The file that was added could have invited litigation from Solace an organisation for professional Local Government Chief Executives. The result of such litigation could have been seizure of the authors computers, and Judges ban for the author not to have access to the internet, also, the author would not be able to litigate against James He-hir C.E.O. Ipswich Borough Council for harassment.

When you are up against a crooked governments crooked flagship council, anything can happen.

Fantastic Summer.

2003 is the best summer that I can remember, 1976 was exceptionally hot for eight weeks. 2003 has been exceptionally hot for 12 weeks, what a summer, no Broom Hill, what a sad loss.

Unfair Practise.

The Broom Hill buildings have had to be safely maintained to avoid public accident, the pools water has been circulated through the filtration system, chemicals have been added to stop repugnant smells from still water that would waft through the surrounding area. It would not have cost much more to open the pool. I feel that this pool will never open with this incompetent management team in place, old Hehir does not want further publication of unsafe management practise.

Further Dirty Tricks.

Because of the problems that have been created by agents, agencies wanting to stop the publication of this site, for security, the site is now hosted in such a way that the author does not know the access passwords to the site. The site can only be accessed by the hosting company for adaptation on authorisation of a letter and password sent by the postal services. For details of the security problems, please read Book-5, The Cesspool And The Secret Armies, the security problems are highlighted in the latter part of the book.
